The new ISO 45001 standard replaces ELOT 1801 , which was based on the principles of OHSAS 18001 and provides a global reference framework for organizations in the Private and Public Sector that seek to improve their performance and minimize the risk to Health and Safety in Work (OSH), through effective prevention measures. The publication of the ISO 45001 standard took place in March 2018 and the organizations that are currently certified with the current R&D management systems will have the opportunity to move to ISO 45001 within three years.

The international standard ISO 45001 was prepared in order for the System for OSH to be compatible and integrated with the other management systems (ELOT EN ISO 9001, ELOT EN ISO 14001 etc).

In which Companies does it apply?

ISO 45001 can be applied to all types of businesses, regardless of the size, type of product or service they offer and the geographical area in which they operate. Its application is important for the safety and health of employees in all organizations, but especially in those whose type of work is characterized by high risk such as construction companies, industries and in general where manual work is performed.
